Minimum Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential or commercial carpentry experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Strong working knowledge of Maine building codes and safety practices
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to jobsites
• Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and unwavering commitment to quality craftsmanship
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in residential construction
• Custom home or high-end remodeling experience
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Own professional-grade tool set
• Experience with timber framing or specialty carpentry
• Finish carpentry expertise

Key Responsibilities

• Frame walls, floors, and roofs for residential additions and new construction
• Install trim, doors, windows, and custom millwork to exact specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction documents accurately
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
• Ensure all work meets Maine building code requirements and RJR Building quality standards
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, foremen, and fellow carpenters
• Mentor and guide apprentice-level team members when applicable
• Problem-solve construction challenges with creative, code-compliant solutions
