Position Overview

Oversee multiple residential and commercial construction projects simultaneously as RJR Building's field project manager. This senior-level position combines construction expertise with client relations, budget management, and organizational skills to deliver exceptional results on every project.

As our project manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for clients throughout their construction journey—from initial planning through final walkthrough. You'll manage 3-6 active projects, coordinating all aspects of construction including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractors, and quality control. This role requires someone who can juggle multiple priorities, communicate effectively with clients and trades, and solve problems proactively.

We're looking for an experienced construction professional who understands the technical side of building while excelling at client service and project coordination. Minimum Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of residential or commercial construction experience
• At least 3 years in project management, estimating, or senior supervisory role
• Strong understanding of construction costs, estimating, and scheduling
• Exceptional communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making under pressure
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Understanding of Maine building codes and permitting processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Experience with Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or similar construction management platforms
• Estimating and bidding experience
• Professional certifications (CGP, CGR, LEED, PMP)
• Custom home building experience
• Previous experience managing projects valued at $200K+

Key Responsibilities

• Manage 3-6 residential and commercial construction projects simultaneously from start to completion
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients throughout entire project lifecycle
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software
• Develop and manage project budgets, tracking costs and identifying variances
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, material deliveries, and inspections
• Review and approve material selections with clients, providing guidance as needed
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to plans
• Identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact schedule or budget
• Process change orders with accurate pricing and clear client communication
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records
• Ensure all work meets Maine building codes and RJR Building quality standards
• Prepare detailed project closeout documentation and warranty information
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors
