Commercial Construction Across Central Maine and Beyond

Central Maine Construction is the commercial division of RJR Building, led by Rich Roberge, with more than 20 years in the trades. We work as a commercial general contractor for property owners, developers, business owners and property managers who need a builder that shows up, communicates clearly and finishes the job.

Our commercial work includes treatment clinics, retail build-outs and multi-family housing across Maine. We handle tenant build-outs, renovations of existing commercial buildings, new commercial construction and multi-family projects, and we coordinate the site work and roofing that go with them. Most of our work is in Augusta, Waterville, Gardiner and the rest of central Maine.

What We Build

Every commercial project has its own schedule, budget and code requirements. These are the projects we take on most often.

Office, retail, clinic and restaurant build-outs that turn an empty space into a space your business or tenant can open in.

Renovations and remodels of existing commercial buildings, from interior updates to larger changes in layout and use.

Apartments and multi-family housing for developers and owners, from framing through finish.

New commercial buildings and warehouses, with site work and commercial roofing handled under the same contract.

How a Commercial Project Works

Every project is different, but most commercial jobs follow the same path from bid to closeout.

01

Bid and Preconstruction

We review your plans, walk the site and put together a clear bid that covers scope, schedule and cost.

02

Permits and Scheduling

Permits, inspections, subcontractors and materials are lined up before work starts, so the schedule holds and your business or tenants know what to expect.

03

Build and Closeout

We build to the plans and the code, keep you updated as work moves along, and walk the finished space with you before closeout.
